Moreover, I haven’t run a class with quite this sort of format before.
The learning outcomes have three main pillars: Design, Coding, and Collaboration.
You will develop skills in these areas mostly through experience and practice.
I’m not going to lecture very much and there are not many readings.
I’m planning on using the class time mostly for synchronous participatory activities.
We’ll use the whole class time, and I hope to keep you engaged with hands-on work and group discussion.
Early classes will have a little more lecturing and be focused on content introduction.
Later classes will be focused on playtesting, discussion, and feedback.
You’ll start with some small projects to figure out how p5.party works and learn the practicalities of designing for multiplayer games. (Its kind of tricky!)
